Search
The search bar is at the top of every page in mizuiro. Click it or press / to focus it,
type what you’re looking for, and results appear as you type.
Search looks across several record types at once:
- People - employees in your directory, matched by name.
- Contacts - external contacts, matched by name or organization.
- Tasks - matched by title and detail content.
Results from each category appear in separate sections so you can see at a glance what kind of record you’ve found.
Search respects your normal visibility. If you’re a supervisor, you’ll see tasks for your team but not tasks scoped to other teams or managers. If you’re an employee, you’ll see your own records. The search bar doesn’t give you access to records you wouldn’t otherwise see - it just finds them faster.
Search is best when you’re looking for a specific record and you know something about it: a word from the title, a name, a phrase from the description.
If you remember the subject of a group of records but not any specific title - “everything related to the Acton project from last quarter” - hashtags are often a better starting point. Tag something consistently as it happens and search by topic later.
Can I search by reference number?
Yes. Paste the full reference number into the search bar and it will jump directly to that record (if you have visibility into it). See Reference numbers for more on how the numbering system works and how to use it for your own filing.
Does search include completed or resolved records?
Yes. Search covers all records regardless of status, so you can find a completed task or a resolved incident just as easily as an open one.
Why don’t I see results from a module I know exists?
Either the module isn’t enabled for your company, or you don’t have visibility into those records. Search only returns records you’d be able to see by navigating to that module directly.
