mizuiro documentation

You’ve got people to look after. mizuiro keeps track of the details so you can focus on the bigger picture.

These docs are here for the moments where you need to look something up. If you can’t remember the exact word for a thing, the search box in the top left will get you there.

Pick a starting point

  • Getting started - the first hour. Sign up, set up your company, invite your team, get 2FA out of the way.
  • Modules - one page per feature area. How it works, what to watch out for, what unlocks when you turn other modules on.
  • Administration - settings, observers, audit log, billing.
  • Security - what mizuiro protects you from and the controls you have.

What “mizuiro” means

mizuiro (水色) is a Japanese word that translates literally as “water colour” - 水 (mizu, water) and 色 (iro, colour). It’s the name for a pale, light blue: the colour of clear, shallow water on a bright day, or of an open sky reflected in it. Not the deep blue of the ocean - the gentle, calm blue of water sitting under a blue sky.

We chose it because that’s the feeling we want the tool to have: calm, clear, and quietly out of the way while you look after the people who count on you.

Say it like: mee-zoo-ee-roh - four short, even syllables (mi-zu-i-ro).

A note on this site

mizuiro is genuinely a product about not having to remember everything. These docs follow the same idea: short, specific, easy to come back to. Nobody learns it all in one sitting and that’s fine.
