Autosaved drafts
Some things in mizuiro take a while to write: meeting minutes, a 1-on-1 you’re recording live, an incident report, a performance review. A few seconds after you stop typing, mizuiro saves a draft of the form in the background. You’ll see a small “Draft saved 14:32” note beside the Save button.
If the window closes, the laptop dies, or you click away and lose the page, open the same form again and a banner at the top says you have unsaved work from a few minutes ago, with two buttons:
- Restore puts everything back the way you had it.
- Discard throws the draft away and gives you the empty (or previously saved) form.
Nothing is restored without asking. The draft is only a safety net: the record itself isn’t created or changed until you click Save, and the draft is cleared the moment you do.

Short setup forms (scheduling a touchpoint, picking a review template) don’t need it and don’t have it.
- Drafts are private to you. Nobody else can see or restore your draft, not even a manager. Two people recording the same meeting each have their own.
- They follow you, not the browser. A draft started on the office desktop can be restored from your laptop at home; it’s saved in mizuiro, not on the machine.
- They’re encrypted the same way the finished record’s notes are.
- They expire. A draft you never come back to is tidied away after a week.
- They don’t appear in the audit log. Only the real Save does; a draft isn’t a record.
