Birthday celebrations
When it’s someone’s birthday, the dashboard greets them - and their team - with a confetti animation and a small banner. It’s a one-second moment of acknowledgement before everyone gets on with their day.
You can scope it to the whole company or just the birthday person’s team, and you can preview exactly what it looks like from settings before deciding either way.
Birthdays for family members and close connections can be included too, if you’ve added them to employee profiles and turned that scope on.
Birthday celebrations are managed by the manager, not per person. If the confetti isn’t a fit for your team’s culture, you can turn it off for everyone.
Go to Settings - Kikubari and toggle Birthday celebrations off. It takes effect immediately.
If Kikubari isn’t enabled yet, birthday celebrations won’t appear regardless of the setting - they’re part of that module.
If you’d rather keep it on but limit who sees it, go to Settings - Kikubari and look for Birthday scope:
- Employees only - just the people on your team (the default).
- Employees and family - also includes family members and close connections you’ve added to employee profiles.
The scope controls both who triggers a celebration and how widely it’s shown on the dashboard.
Before you decide, you can see exactly what the animation looks like. Go to Settings - Kikubari and click Preview celebration. It runs the full confetti animation right there in settings so you know what your team will see.
